This deliciously smooth coffee grows in the Kintamani highlands atop a large volcanic plateau at 1300-1700m . The use of pesticides is prohibited on Bali and all fertilizers are 100% organic. In Bali, they have traditional farming structure organizations called Subak Abians, similar to a farmer cooperative. There are 13 different Subak Abians that are currently growing and processing coffee. The promotion of improved coffee growing practices is expected to enhance not only agricultural technology but social and economic standing in Bali, as well.
This coffee boasts a smooth body and overwhelming chocolate flavors. It is harvested from May until July, dried on mats up to 40% and then partially wet-hulled.
