This anaerobic naturally-processed coffee has become a staple for our third year! Each crop is different, and we are so excited for this season. It comes to us from the Gera estate in the Djimma region of southwestern Ethiopia. The high altitudes combined with nitrogen-rich plants and natural fertilizers used on the estate provide excellent growing conditions for specialty coffee. No chemical fertilizers or insecticides are used, and production at Gera focuses on sustainability and good working conditions for its employees. The Gera Estate provides housing, childcare and education, clean drinking water, electricity, healthcare, and recreational facilities for all of its employees at no extra cost.
This Ethiopian Heirloom lot is grown and harvested at roughly 2200 masl between November & January.
